How to Lock-in Your Rate with Baron Mortgage Corporation

You can lock in a rate during any business day by calling 800-696-SAVE and dialing "5" on the menu prompt on or before 4:30 PM (EST). You must speak with a "live" Loan Officer in order to execute a lock.

Please note that you can lock at the rates available for the day that you are calling, not the ones from the day before. Our rates include a lock-in protection period valid for up to 60 days from the day that you lock. (Lock-ins for up to 360 days are also available) When you lock, you pre-pay half a percent of the loan amount or $1,000, whichever is higher, in our escrow account.

This money is fully refundable at your closing or if your loan is not approved, the monies are not refundable if you cancel or stop the process. By locking in, we guarantee you the rate that you select, thus closing at that rate regardless of future market changes.
